The CATX DisplayPort computer access modules are extremely compact devices that allow you to extend your DisplayPort-equipped computer up to 300 meters via a CATX cable. TheCAM connects to your computer's DisplayPort video port, USB and audio ports, then connects via CAT 5, 5e or 6 cable to AdderView CATx KVM switches and/or Adder Extender receivers (either AdderLink X100 or X200) which can be up to 300 meters from the module. Your video display, keyboard, mice and speakers are then all connected to the remote device.

Resolutions and cable lengths
The maximum resolutions that can be achieved are:
The CATX DisplayPort CAM uses the USB port to draw its power from the host computer, eliminating the need for a separate power supply and simplifying installation. Therefore, the USB cable must always be connected to a USB port on the computer that can supply up to 500 mA. The DisplayPort connector is not powered.
Mini DisplayPort version available
Some computers, servers and graphics cards (Apple Mac Pro and ATI Radion graphics cards) are equipped with Mini DisplayPort connectors because they are smaller than the standard connector. A version of the CAM is available with Mini DisplayPort connectors.
EDID display information
The module checks the EDID information available from the KVM switch or extender connected to the monitor at power-up and returns it to the computer.
USB
The CAM supports only low speed (1Mbps) HID USB devices.
Audio
2-channel CD-quality audio is supported via a 3.5 mm jack plug. Audio is not available via the display connector.

- 1280 x 1024 x 60 Hz at 300 m
