The ADDER DDC Ghost is the most cost-effective way to extend the life of your existing infrastructure. EDID data is a very important part of video expansion and distribution. It allows the display drivers of the devices you connect (e.g. graphics cards) to adapt perfectly to the screen. The DDC (Display Data Channel) transmits information about the physical characteristics of the screen, such as resolution or colour depth, back to the display adapter (graphics guard) to ensure that the resulting image is correct every time.

Features
True DDC emulation
Unless an extender actively supports DDC, some high performance video cards cannot be used with high resolutions. The DDC Ghost supports double-sided DDC to ensure compatible resolutions are supported.
Power supply interface
The DDC Ghost is powered directly from VGA pin 9. This reduces clutter and makes installation as easy as possible. In situations where pin 9 power is not available, DDC Ghost can be powered directly from the optional 5V power supply.
Full EDID cloning
The DDC Ghost clones a full double page EDID (Extended Display Identification Data). This makes the DDC Ghost compatible with the latest display devices. The first page contains the standard EDID data and the second page contains the extended data block.

Our expertise with DDC EDID data has enabled us to put together an extended profile that is designed to work with most display devices. Therefore, the DDC Ghost can be used in connections where no data is otherwise available. You can choose to use this data or the attached EDID of the original display.

The DDC Ghost interface is secure and simple. The unit is set up with a single button controlled by the built-in LED indicator. This makes changing display devices a quick and easy process.
