ADDER® RED-PSU PRO gives your installation the power to grow as needed. RED-PSU PRO is housed in a 1U 19-inch rack module and offers up to 16 12VDC outputs, hot-swappable power modules and remote management.
Power for your needs
Individual Adder power adapters are powerful, but as your installation grows and the number of devices increases, separate adapters can be bulky and difficult to manage. ADDER® RED-PSU PRO (RED-PSU PRO) offers a significant improvement in efficiency, reliability and power management.
Power outputs with 8 or 16 ports and lockable connectors.
RED-PSU PRO is available in two versions, either with 8 or 16 separate lockable power outputs. Each output is limited to a maximum of 30 W at 12 V and has a lockable connector that prevents accidental disconnection.
Hot-swappable power modules
AC mains power is converted to low-voltage DC in one or two 495-Watt switch-mode power supply modules mounted on the rear of the RED-PSU PRO enclosure. A single power supply module is rated for an MTBF of 900,000 hours and can easily meet the requirements of sixteen ports. However, in situations where redundancy is required, a second power module can be installed in the second module bay. When two power modules are installed, the normal load is intelligently shared equally between the two, with the full load immediately transferred to one if the other fails.
Protection
Power integrity, security and management are core components of the RED-PSU PRO system. At start-up, RED-PSU PRO switches on each of the power outputs in turn to reduce the instantaneous load on the power modules. Once switched on, each power output is protected by overarching safety functions that prevent excessive demand from a connected device.
Control via web interface
RED-PSU PRO can be controlled and monitored via a web interface. Temperature, fan speeds and individual current measurements can be viewed and each output can be controlled individually. The web interface is secured by HTTP-Digest-Authentication (RFC 2617) with user name and password as requested information.
REST API
A REST (Representational State Transfer) API is available with full functionality for authorised third-party control systems to connect to.
12V to 5V converter for 5V products
Many of the existing Adder devices are powered by 5V. An optional compact converter dongle allows 5V products to be used with the RED-PSU PRO, including the ADDERLink™ INFINITY range.
