ADDERLink AV100T Transmitter

ADDERLink AV104T Transmitter

• Extends a single high-definition video and high-fidelity audio signal to 4 different receivers
• Local connection for connecting the local screen and speakers or for cascading with other AdderLink AV104T transmitter units

ADDERLink AV101R receiver unit

• Duplicates input from transmitter and allows 2 video and 2 audio outputs
• Built-in skew adjustment that allows the receiver to be located further away from the transmitter and/or handle higher video resolutions
• Can be used as a receiver up to 300 m from AdderLink AV100T or AdderLink AV104T transmitters
• Features a local cascade port that allows other receivers to be cascaded from the original receiver

Technical details

Video resolutions
HD 1920 x 1080 at distances up to 100 meters, 1280 x 1024 at distances up to 300 meters. Extension distance With CATx up to 300 meters (x = 5.5e, 6.7).

Extension technology
Differential analogue signalling for video signals.

Cable equalisation
Finely adjustable cable equalisation amplifiers allow independent adjustment of video sharpness and brightness using the rotary controls on the side of the receiver units.

Integral DeSkew (ADDERLink AV101R only)
Skew compensation settings can be made using the two dials on the AdderLink AV101R receiver unit. The first dial affects the relationship between green and blue colour signals, the second red and green. Cable offset is generated due to wire length differences between different twisted pairs in a CATx cable, which occur because of the different twist rates used to reduce signal crosstalk. The amount of cable misalignment depends on the type of cable used and the cable length. The AdderLink AV101R offers up to 62 ns DeSkew with a fine resolution of 2 ns. This means that high-resolution video can be deSkewed accurately even at long cable distances. The DeSkew supports 300 MHz bandwidths, which means that the DeSkew function does not affect video quality.

Indicators
The remote and local units have two indicators; red indicates the presence of power in the module, green indicates the presence of a video input.

Audio
Transmitted as a digital signal to ensure high fidelity and low noise levels. Phase-locked sampling clocks ensure that no unwanted clicks occur when audio is not playing.

Rack-mount options
Both the local (computer end) and remote (display end) units can be rack-mounted in the ADDERLink AV Series rack enclosure. The enclosure allows 16 units to be mounted in 3U 19-inch rack space. The units are mounted using the optional rack front panel.

Power
All AdderLink AV units are powered by an external 5 V DC 2 A power supply with IEC power cable connector. A country-specific power cable is supplied. Alternatively, 4 units can be powered using a 4A power supply and the Adder squid cable.

Spike suppression
All AdderLink AV units are equipped with spike suppression circuitry.

Display data channel
DDC signalling is supported to allow the computer to communicate with the local monitor to configure its graphics card for optimal operation.

Package contents
All AdderLink AV Series are supplied with the required IEC power supply and mains cable, a safety and installation booklet, a CD manual and stick-on rubber feet. (Note: Rack panels are not included and must be purchased separately if required.
