ADDERLink Infinity 1002 is a high-performance KVM extender (keyboard, video and mouse) that is part of the ALIF matrix solution. This allows you to place your sensitive computer hardware in a safe and temperature-controlled environment away from work areas. The existing display on the desktop is not affected by this.
Two variants are available: Multi Mode or Single Mode, both with a speed of 4.25 Gbit/s and LC connectors for up to 500 meters (Multi Mode) or 10 km (Single Mode).
Description
The AdderLink INFINITY system works with standard compliant protocols (TCP/UP, UDP) network-wide and is therefore not subject to distance restrictions compared to classic proprietary KVM extenders. In combination with the AdderLink INFINITY Manager A.I.M. (optional), there is a very convenient possibility of connecting several Tx and Rx units to form a matrix. The A.I.M. is a central management appliance that allows to manage unicast and multicast streams accordingly, including rights management. The ADDERLink INFINITY series of transmitters and receivers allow multiple users very flexible remote access to host computers. This flexibility requires management and coordination - tasks for which the A.I.M (ADDERLink INFINITY Manager) is crucial. The configuration in general, as well as for multicast use, can be carried out directly on the units via the web frontends.

The ADDERLink INFINITY uses multiple video encoding technologies developed by Adder to provide the best image quality. Our encoding systems operate lossless with 1:1 pixel mapping, so you receive the exact digital video signals sent from the remote computer.
Intelligent video encoding
The ADDERLink INFINITY uses optimal lossless compression techniques to minimise network bandwidth usage and maximise the user experience. In most application scenarios involving typical computer desktop applications, the ADDERLink INFINITY requires exceptionally little bandwidth. When viewing video in full-screen mode, it can process the moving images of the video in real time.
Accurate video colours
The received video colours always match the transmitted colours exactly. The clarity of the images is always maintained during transmission with the ADDERLink INFINITY. Therefore, in environments where colour plays an important role, such as visual media and scientific imaging, projects can be collaborated on in real time and control can be handed over to other group members without any problems.
USB True Emulation Technology
The ADDERLink INFINITY offers the ability to connect any input device with a USB interface, from mice and keyboards to graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks and 3D controllers. In addition, most other USB devices can also be connected, such as mass storage devices.
Network topology
You can configure your network topology to suit your exact requirements. If you simply want to extend a computer-side transmitter with a user-side receiver, you can connect the transmitter and receiver with a low-cost CATx cable. The distance is unlimited - a standard network cable carries IP traffic over up to 100 meters. If you want to exceed this distance, simply add a network switch to have an additional 100 meters available. This way you can go multiple times if needed. The ADDERLink INFINITY network is considered a private network that you manage. Therefore, you can control the maximum data rates generated by each transmitter to ensure absolute stability.
Wireless connections
Because of the efficient way ADDERLink INFINITY assembles data for IP transmission, it is extremely useful to use standard wireless connections to connect receivers or transmitters to the network. Typical desktop applications (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) require very little bandwidth.
Mounting options
ADDERLink INFINITY units are suitable for rack mounting, desktop mounting, wall mounting or can be mounted to the back of your monitor using an optional VESA mounting bracket.
DVI - Digital Visual Interface
The ADDERLink INFINITY offers full DVI connectivity. DVI delivers unaltered digital video signals from your computer to your digital display (such as an LCD screen) without the need to convert the signals. Because digital video signals are transmitted unaltered throughout the ADDERLink INFINITY network, you can be sure that every pixel is received exactly as it was sent.
USB 2.0
The ADDERLink INFINITY uses USB 2.0 ports to connect your keyboard and mouse, as well as any other peripheral device you wish to use. USB is the most widely used interface standard for computer peripherals.
Digital stereo audio
