ADDERLink Infinity 1002 is a high-performance KVM extender (keyboard, video and mouse) that is part of the ALIF matrix solution. This allows you to place your sensitive computer hardware in a safe and temperature-controlled environment away from work areas. The existing display on the desktop is not affected by this.

Description
The AdderLink INFINITY system works with standard compliant protocols (TCP/UP, UDP) network-wide and is therefore not subject to distance restrictions compared to classic proprietary KVM extenders. In combination with the AdderLink INFINITY Manager A.I.M. (optional), there is a very convenient possibility of connecting several Tx and Rx units to form a matrix. The A.I.M. is a central management appliance that allows to manage unicast and multicast streams accordingly, including rights management. The transmitters and receivers of the ADDERLink INFINITY series allow multiple users very flexible remote access to host computers. This flexibility requires management and coordination - tasks for which the A.I.M (ADDERLink INFINITY Manager) is crucial. The configuration in general, as well as for multicast use, can be carried out directly on the units via the web frontends.

Perfect digital video, real-time control
Using a spatially lossless encoding system with 1:1 pixel mapping, AdderLink Infinity delivers pixel-perfect and colour-accurate video without artefacts. The digital video you receive is the same as the digital video leaving the remote computer.
A single CATx cable or fibre with immunity to interference
By using standard IP technology, you have the choice of a single structured cable (CATx) or a fibre optic connection. This allows you to achieve reliable connections without interference. The AdderLink Infinity dual 2020 also offers the option of bridging up to 10 km with fibre.
Unlimited extension distances
Extension distance is not limited to a single cable length of 100 meters - if you want to extend further, simply add a 1GbE network device to reach another 100 meters. The units are also equipped with SFP cages to accommodate fibre transceivers, allowing for much longer extension distances.
Support for MacPro (Dithered Video)
Some graphics cards use a technique called dithering to give the appearance of greater colour depth than is actually the case. As a result, dithering can significantly increase normal video data rates. The ALIF2020T has a feature called Magic Eye that supports dithering without affecting the overall performance of the connection.
USB 2.0 with class control
Enables the connection of USB devices from mice and keyboards to graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks and 3D explorers, as well as mass storage devices. For applications where security is a major concern, the system has the ability to disable the use of non-HID devices, meaning it is not necessary to physically block USB ports to prevent the use of mass storage devices.
EDID management
Intelligent EDID management allows the true characteristics of the monitor to be passed to the computer. This ensures perfect video display without additional configuration.
