USB Rover products operate over standard Cat 5e/6/7 cabling. The USB Rover 1850 uses technology that is ideal for extending USB peripherals and requires no additional software for the computer or target devices.
The USB Rover 1850 consists of two separate units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). The LEX unit connects to the host computer and the remote USB device connects to the REX unit via conventional USB cables. Cat 5e/6/7 cabling is used to connect the LEX and REX units over a distance of up to 85m.
Icron's USB Rover 1850 extension system is ideal for use with USB peripherals such as keyboards, mice, interactive whiteboards (including SMART Boards and Promethean ActivBoards) and game controllers.
